  • Preparing to train and play including warm up, fundamentals, postural controland ball handling
  • Game flow including attacking, defending and transition

Qualification Gained:

  • UKCC Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Volleyball

Course Pre-requisites:

  • Minimum age 16 years

Please wear suitable sports clothing and footwear andbring appropriate writing marterials.

Volleyball Referee Grade 4:

This course is open to staff, students and the public.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and a number shirt if possible.
Please also bring a whistle, rulebook and a pen and paper.

Campus Sport Volleyball

Volleyball has always been a popular sport here at Northumbria University with both men’s and women’s team successfully playing to a very high standard.

However this is not always what people want and sometimes just having fun and being active is what’s needed. Campus Sport Volleyball is exactly that and players of all abilities can take part and it is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and meet new people in a competitive but fun environment!

When: Sunday (18:00-20:00)

Sessions can be booked now!

Where: Sport Central

Players: Enter as individuals to play for the semester and get put into teams each week.

Duration: Sessions run throughout the academic year – approximately 25 weeks

Entry Fee: Entry is £40 per person. This needs to be paid in full before attending the sessions.

Booking Information:
You can Book Online or at Sport Central Reception.

Online Booking Instructions:
1) Enter your Login ID and Pin. If you are a Northumbria University student or staff member your login is your computer username and your PIN is your library Pin. If you are not a Northumbria University student or staff member you must sign up.
2) Change your preferred booking site to Campus Sport (this is in the top right hand corner)
3) Click on 'Make a Booking'
4) Click on Campus Sport link
5) Select the session you wish to book then select the first date. This will book you onto the duration of the league.
