Wednesday League

CONGRATULATIONS: MURDER ON ZIDANE'S FLOOR for winning the play offs in sememster one and MILFSHAKE GALACTICOS for finishing up top of the league in SEMESTER 2!!

Match report from Murder on Zidane's Floor

In our first game against milfshakes galacticos, we hit them with two early goals, noticeably the first from Mike Gent who left all of the other team members in his wake and fired in a goal even Lionel Messi would be envious of, and a late goal to secure our place in the final. It wasn't a hard game for the lads, we had learnt from the previous meeting we had with that team and we tactically adjusted to play them. George Riding produced some scarily good saves with some big hands that kept us in control of the game. In the end, it was a matter of when the final whistle would usher us into the final. The final score was 3-0.

The final was played between MoZF and construction FC. This was unfinished business from the league games where MoZF were beaten by construction FC. It was a gritty game. The construction FC players gave all they had to try overcome a team that was high in moral, confidence and form.
It was a shame one of the Construction FC players thought he was in the wrestling ring, delivering some aggressive tackles but aside from that one player, their team played well and gave us a bit to worry about. Again, an early goal given to us by defender Bobby Lamb after a Steven Gerrard-esqe shot found its way into the bottom corner, and it all looked up for us.

Construction FC had their chances and the players were tiring after already playing one game before. But thanks to myself and assistant manager Roland Tay, the players were used effectively and this was apparent when Striker Hallum Collings scores the goal that secured us the cup! It was all smiles at the final whistle, and construction FC were humble in defeat. Well played to them.
The final score was 2-1 to MoZF.

I am very proud of my players and my team, and special mention goes out to Roland Tay who was hired as my assistant manager after masses of applications were handed in to me for the job.

Warmest Regards,
Manager Sir Sembi
