Start Climbing is suited to those who have little or no climbing experience or for those who have had some bouldering experience and want to start using ropes. This activity will take you through all the basics you need to know to get started in one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. Start Climbing consists of three session, two 1.5 hour tuition sessions and a third 1.5 hour session where you will complete a Climbing Registration enabling you to climb unsupervised. Maximum number of places per date block is 6.
Open to: Northumbria students, staff and public.
Cost: Members* £10 (was £25), Non members £15 (was £35)

In Semester two you can bring a friend for free!

Additional Information:
No previous experience is needed, beginners are welcome.
Individual and Partner bookings can be made.
All equipment which is needed will be provided.
Wear comfortable clothing (trousers) that you can easily move in.
Booking Information:
You can Book Online or at Sport Central Reception.
Online Booking Instructions:
1) Enter your Login ID and Pin. If you are a Northumbria University student or staff member your login is your computer username and your PIN is your library Pin. If you are not a Northumbria University student or staff member you must sign up.
2) Change your preferred booking site to Sport Central (this is in the top right hand corner)
3) Click on 'Make a Booking'
4) Click on Start link
5) Select the session you wish to book then select the first date. This will book you onto the duration of the programme.
