The fixtures for the Northern League 2012/13 season have been released today with Team Northumbria facing an opening double-header against the First Division champions.

After facing Spennymoor Town in the JR Cleator Cup on Tuesday August 14, TN return to the Brewery Field four days later to get their league campaign underway.

They follow that with a visit from FA Vase winners Dunston UTS two days later at Coach Lane before a trip to Marske United the following Saturday.

TN travel up the road to Whitley Bay, whom they conquered 5-0 in the Northumberland Senior Cup this season, on October 13 with the return fixture on March 16.

The two new big names in the First Division, Durham City and Darlington, both play at Coach Lane in November (3 and 24 respectively) and TN will play at Durham on April 6 while closing the season on April 27 at Darlington.

Celtic Nation, formerly Gillford Park, who ran TN close in the race for the Second Division title, are hosted on October 8 before Paul Johnson’s side make the long trip to Cumbria on January 5.

Meanwhile, TN will begin their defence of the Brooks Mileson League Cup at home to the winner of Guisborough Town or Thornaby in the second round.
